Eden Nuclear and Environment Ltd. is a small, well-established and highly successful employee-owned consultancy company with nineteen staff. We have a reputation for delivering technically excellent work on time and to budget for a wide range of clients. Our office is in Penrith, Cumbria, and our staff work either from our office, from home or have hybrid working arrangements. Due to recent and exciting business growth and client diversification, we are seeking to recruit Principal Consultants, Senior Consultants and Consultants into our friendly and supportive team.
BUILD YOUR CAREER WITH EDEN NE:
You will be able to build on your existing excellent qualifications and/or experience in a wide variety of technically challenging projects for a variety of clients across the nuclear sector, including NDA estate, existing nuclear generation, new nuclear generation, MoD and international clients. You will work directly alongside international experts in the nuclear sector, gaining directly from their knowledge, experience and advice on delivery for clients and, through our Employee Benefit Trust, you will be able to influence the strategic direction of our company.
TYPE OF WORK:
We provide technical consultancy and management services to a wide range of UK and international clients in the energy and nuclear sectors. We specialise in developing environmentally safe, sustainable and economically achievable solutions for the management and disposal of radioactive waste and the clean-up of radioactively contaminated land. You will work closely with your colleagues and with our clients to develop technical solutions and effective strategies, to evaluate and manage environmental impacts, and address regulatory requirements. You will have the opportunity to carry out challenging and interesting work in a wide number of technical areas and contribute to various projects, potentially of national importance, gaining experience and knowledge through working alongside our UK and international experts.
REMUNERATION PACKAGE
Contract Type: Permanent
Working arrangements: Full time is 37.5 hours per week, potentially with flexible working times. Depending on personal circumstances and role, part-time roles will be considered.

REQUIREMENTS:
We are looking for excellent scientists, engineers or mathematicians who have a good undergraduate degree, and desirably a postgraduate qualification.
At Principal Consultant level, candidates will preferably have a minimum of 8 years of nuclear (or related) experience.
At Senior Consultant level, candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of nuclear experience or 8 years of general professional technical experience, and we also invite applications from qualified but inexperienced staff to join at the Consultant level, where you will be mentored to rapidly gain experience. You will be flexible and able to apply yourself to varied problems and projects. You will be self-motivated and have the skills to work effectively with other people. Excellent communication skills are required, as is the ability to deliver high quality technical reports to tight deadlines.
