Risktec Solutions: Nuclear Safety Case Consultants (REF: E6504)

Risktec Solutions Ltd is an established, independent engineering and risk management consultancy. We help clients to manage health, safety, security, environmental (HSSE) and business risk in sectors where the impact of loss is high. We are seeking highly motivated and dynamic individuals with experience of supporting nuclear safety within the nuclear power generation sector. The successful candidates will work on the delivery of major projects within the nuclear industry and be based within our Warrington team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of major safety cases, including authoring, verification and management of engineering change documentation.
  • Providing specialist technical input and advice to resolve complex problems.
  • Production of formal technical reports, safety cases and other project deliverables on time and to budget.
  • A drive to ensure successful delivery and continuous client satisfaction by delivering pragmatic and proportionate solutions.
  • Building up and maintaining client relationships.
  • Management of projects, including:
    • Responding to client requests for support
    • Accurately costing project tasks
    • Managing resources to ensure project delivery within budget

Key requirements:

  • Experience in delivering and/or supporting nuclear safety cases is essential.
  • Previous experience working with EDF is desirable, e.g. EDF AV3 or AV2 qualification (or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical and logical skills are essential.
  • Clear communication skills are essential, both verbal and written, and strong organisational skills and attention to detail are critical.

  • Able to work as part of a team, as well as to work independently where needed.
  • Able to travel within the UK.

Additional Information:

Due to the nature of the work, the candidates must have a suitable background that will allow them to achieve UK security clearance (please note that this is very difficult to achieve within the timescales for non-UK nationals and you will be subject to a screening process before interview to ensure that you meet the security clearance criteria).
