NI Nuclear Law Seminar
Building insight through understanding - a legal perspective #NINuclearLaw
Equipping nuclear professionals with a legal foundation for educated, effective workplaces
Attendees will hear from leading nuclear practitioners on how the UK industry is regulated, examining key legislation and legal practice explaining its role with practical examples. The seminar will also explore the latest developments on Brexit and its implications for Government policy, and networking sessions will give attendees the opportunity to engage with the speakers. We have a keynote speaker from the Department for Exiting the European Union who will share with us on Brexit, along with many other industry leaders.
Understanding the framework and role of law in the nuclear sector
An excellent and accessible opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the law and regulation underpinning the nuclear sector, the seminar provides a valuable insight into the role of legal professionals presented by specialists in their fields.
Focussed sessions
The afternoon comprises a selection of themed and focussed sessions, on topics including Development Consent Order (DCO) process, construction contracts and risk management, nuclear insurance and financing, and consortium contracting. This gives attendees the choice to attend the sessions that interest them the most.
Who should attend?
The seminar is designed to be open to all, but perhaps particularly relevant to those in business support role, scientists, engineers, and technicians managing projects. It provides an ideal learning opportunity for newcomers to the nuclear industry or those who have some nuclear experience but with limited legal and commercial knowledge.
