The Central England Branches of the Nuclear Institute and Women in Nuclear UK invite you to join our in-person event “An Audience with Siân Butler”. 

Now retired, Siân has over 30 years experience in the Defence Nuclear Sector, having held the position of AWE Executive Director, the most senior female scientist at AWE and a Royal Society of Chemistry Fellow. Siân has challenged stereotypes and is passionate about encouraging diversity and inclusion and won the WiN Mission Possible award 2021 for her outstanding work as a role model, inspiring women across AWE and the wider industry.

During this event, Siân will talk about her career, discussing the different roles she has held in AWE since joining, how she has become a leader in the organisation and lessons learnt along the way. This will be followed by a question and answer session with the audience allowing you to understand how you could one day follow Siân’s footsteps in your own career paths.
