London and South East Branch YGN Speaking Competition 2025

The Competition

The competition is open to everyone under the age of 37 at the time of the competition (i.e. those eligible to be members of the NI Young Generation Network). However, the competition is open to both members and non-members of the NI.

The Subject Matter

We encourage you to give a talk on any nuclear-related topic, whether technical, social or personal. We hope that this scope will encourage the involvement of those of you who are new to the industry, as well as the more experienced people. For those of you wishing to present a “commercial/sensitive topic”, we remind you of the importance of obtaining permission from your employer.

The Experience

The objective is to encourage you to gain valuable experience in communication skills before a live audience. Emphasis is placed on presentation rather than the overall content.

How to Apply

All you have to do at this stage is submit a title and a 200-word synopsis of your presentation idea at lse@nuclearinst.com by Friday 23rd May.

We will then notify those selected to prepare an accompanying presentation.

Registration

We welcome anyone of any age to attend the evening to support the speakers, and learn something new about the industry! This event is open to NI members and non-members.

There is no charge to attend this event. Please ignore the message "You still need to pay to confirm your booking" on the registration link.
