North East Branch: Hartlepool Power Station Tour

After the successful visit of the Nuclear Institute NE Branch to Hartlepool Power Station in January, this is another opportunity for anyone who didn’t make it to the list or maybe to revisit the experience.

Hartlepool Power Station has provided electricity to the Northeast for over 40 years and is still going strong. You will be able to see the inside workings of a generating power station and to speak to EDF staff on site. Last time, we were lucky enough to see the simulator.

Meeting at 9:30 at the Hartlepool power station, the power station staff will take us on a tour of the inner workings of the power station.

During and following the event there will be an opportunity to speak with Nuclear Institute North East Branch volunteers to find out more about the institute and local events.

Registration

The tour is limited to 25 people. To avoid disappointment and to allow sufficient time for the group registration form to be processed, please register as soon as possible, and before 20/06/2025. Non-UK citizens will need to fill in a separate form for security clearance at least 3 weeks before the event.
