The Intro to presents… Nuclear in a Nutshell: Small Modular Reactors (SMRs): The Future of Nuclear? For the second webinar of our new and exciting series we have Mark Salisbury joining us. 

Speaker: Mark Salisbury 

Mark Salisbury FNucI is currently Head of Regulatory Affairs for Rolls-Royce SMR and is responsible for the team that ensures the power station meets Environment, Safety, Security and Safeguards requirements and for the licensing of the power station in the UK and overseas. Previously Mark has worked on operating and new build nuclear power stations, including Sizewell B, in chemistry, operations, licensing and training. He has worked on four Generic Design Assessments and graduated with a degree in Chemistry from the University of Warwick.

Mark is Trustee of the Nuclear Institute and chairs its Policy Committee. As well as being a Fellow of the World Nuclear University, Mark is a Fellow of the Nuclear Institute, Royal Society of Chemistry and Institute for Innovation and Knowledge Exchange as well as being a Member of the American Nuclear Society and a Chartered Chemist and Scientist. Mark lives on the island of Ynys Mon (Anglesey) near Wylfa power station.
