Nuclear Security Conference 2025

2025 will see Great British Nuclear conclude the SMR competition deciding on the future technology to contribute to UK energy security, economic growth and prosperity.

In parallel the government will conclude its revision to the Nuclear Industries Security Regulations; and the Office for Nuclear Regulation will both complete its review of the Security Assessment Principles and potentially embark on the development and delivery of cross-sector training; coupled with the launch of the industry-led Security Career Pathway. Significant investment and development is underway in both civil and defence nuclear.

Join us at Nuclear Security 2025 to remain at the forefront of the rapidly advancing civil and defence nuclear sectors.
Organised by the Nuclear Institute Nuclear Security Special Interest Group, the Nuclear Institute Security Conference returns to Bristol for the first time since 2019, offering again unparalleled access to top experts, with an emphasis on networking, technical knowledge sharing, and a commitment to the development of early and mid-career professionals.

New this year will be technical poster displays enabling attendees to showcase their work and excellence, along with conference output captured in thematic papers in future editions of the NI journal, Nuclear Future

You should attend if you are looking to connect with fellow nuclear security professionals, learn about the latest developments from across the growing civil and defence sectors, and are keen to shape the future of nuclear security.
