Trustee Changes at the Institute

Two long-serving Trustees have recently stepped down from the Nuclear Institute Board of Trustees. Nicola O’Keeffe and Mark Salisbury FNucI are leaving having served two terms. We would like to thank them for their exceptional dedication and support over this period.

Nicola has held the role of Honorary Treasurer since May 2018 and played an important role in steering the Institute through the pandemic.

Nicola said: "It’s been an interesting time - navigating Covid and the impact of no events on our income - but the Institute is now in a better place financially enabling improved member offerings and I look forward to seeing it going from strength to strength."

Mark was elected as a Trustee in October 2018, having previously been on the British Nuclear Energy Society, a predecessor organisation to the Nuclear Institute.

"I'm sad to finish on the Nuclear Institute Board after seven years! The NI continues to go from strength to strength and I'll always continue to support."

CEO Robert Gofton said:

"On behalf of the membership I’d like to thank Nicola and Mark for their exceptional service and input. Mark will continue in his role as Policy Committee Chair and we wish Nicola all the best in her role as CFO at Sellafield Ltd".

New Honorary Treasurer

Replacing Nicola as Honorary Treasurer will be Linda Aylmore MNucI, who was elected to the Board in 2024. Linda is Finance Director at ONR and has over 25 years’ experience at senior board and executive roles within the nuclear, defence and transport sectors.
