This week we have launched a new Jobs Board designed to support members while fostering growth in the nuclear sector. The platform will connect members with high-quality, relevant job opportunities specific to the nuclear sector, and complement broader industry initiatives to increase the numbers of people working in nuclear.
As the nuclear industry continues to evolve and target ambitious jobs growth, the demand for skilled professionals is higher than ever.
Our Jobs Board addresses this need by offering a tailored and specialised resource to help members advance their careers while supporting employers in retaining top talent within the sector.
Supporting Career Development
Designed to support nuclear professionals at all levels and in all disciplines, our Jobs Board will advertise vacancies across all nuclear sector activity areas, including civil, defence, medical, with technical and non-technical roles on offer.
Members will also be able to access resources such as CV writing tips, interview preparation guides, and career development courses through the NI’s eLearning platform. This improved support is designed to increase both career satisfaction and long-term retention within the industry.
"As part of our strategy launched this year, we are committed to offering our members opportunities for professional growth," said Robert Gofton, CEO of the Nuclear Institute.
The new Jobs Board will further support our members’ career development, providing them with high quality, targeted job opportunities while empowering them with the tools they need to succeed."
Promoting Industry Opportunities
Our Jobs Board also serves as a crucial tool for employers to promote job opportunities across the nuclear sector. Employers in the industry will be able to post positions directly to the board, giving them access to a growing and engaged audience of qualified candidates across the UK.
To support our organisational members, Company Members and Corporate Affiliates will receive a 10% discount on vacancy postings, making it an affordable and highly effective way to attract qualified professionals. If you are recruiting and are not already an organisational member, get in touch with Cynthia Hearing, our Membership and Business Development Director.
As a further incentive, any employer can sign up for a free trial, available during the first 8 weeks of the launch of the Jobs Board and post up to 10 jobs for free. Employers can sign up here.
Supporting the Nuclear Skills Plan
With the industry target of 40,000 net new jobs needed by 2030, the nuclear sector has a pivotal role to play in the UK’s energy and national security ambitions, making it an attractive career option. Therefore, to ensure the widest possible pool of candidates are being targeted, non-members will also be able to sign up to our Jobs Board if they wish.
While sector-led initiative Destination Nuclear focuses on attracting new talent to the nuclear sector, our Jobs Board is specifically designed to highlight exclusive, high-quality job opportunities for members already within the industry and looking for that next career step.
With our focus on member support, connected communities, and industry-specific opportunities, the Board will play a vital role in retaining skilled professionals in the nuclear sector.
