NI welcomes Jacobs to Company Membership Scheme

The Nuclear Institute is proud to welcome Jacobs to the NI Company Membership Scheme. One of the largest and most diverse providers of technical, professional, and construction services, Jacobs’ commitment to developing professionalism across the nuclear sector make them an exemplary service and the NI looks forward to partnering with them going forward.

Announced at Nuclear Institute’s headquarters on Monday 10 April, 2017, Jacobs Vice President, UK Aerospace & Technology, Peter Lutwyche said: “Jacobs’ Aerospace & Technology business sees the NI as a key organisation in promoting nuclear professionalism and development and we are delighted to be working with them to develop our staff, and to contribute to the promotion of UK nuclear energy and skills.”

The arrangement allows Jacobs employees to join the NI as Associate members, giving them access to the full range of benefits of NI membership, as well as starting them on the path towards full professional membership. Through ongoing professional development of its employees, Jacobs reinforces its cooperation with the Nuclear Institute to develop professionalism across the nuclear industry.

Nuclear Institute CEO Sarah Beacock said: “We’re thrilled that Jacobs has signed up to the NI’s company membership scheme. Not only does it display their commitment to their own team, for whom this will be an important step on their professionalism paths, but it also contributes to the development of professionalism in the wider industry. In the early months of the new company membership scheme, this positive move demonstrates the importance of the scheme, and we look forward to developing our relationship with Jacobs going forward.”

The implementation of the scheme is the latest stage in a long and close relationship between Jacobs and the NI, which has seen Jacobs’ active involvement with Women in Nuclear UK and many NI events hosted by the organisation.
