After-Dinner Speaker: Rebecca Ferris, EDF
Rebecca Ferris joined EDF in August 2013, bringing over 10 years of experience in the nuclear decommissioning sector where she has worked on first-of-a-kind waste management challenges across the UK and internationally. Within EDF, Rebecca has held leadership roles in environmental management, engineering, and project delivery. In 2024 she joined EDF’s Nuclear Services to lead the Materials, Chemistry and Welding capability, providing technical expertise to the UK existing fleet, Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C project.
Beyond technical leadership, Rebecca is a Director of the EDF Pension Trustee Group and the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme (Trustee). Through this she recognised the importance of empowering women in mid-to-senior-level roles with the training, mentoring and opportunities for board-level exposure and became a founding member of the Women in Nuclear Non-Executive Director scheme (WiN NED) launched in 2023. Rebecca is actively involved in speaking about the programme, which aims to remove perceived barriers and create invaluable opportunities for women in the industry.
